Tour Activity:  Spoken Treasures

Tour Description:  Explore iconic Stanley Park and walk the seawall with Indigenous Cultural Ambassadors.  Our trained Ambassador-Guides will walk with you along the seawall, a 1.1 km walk, while sharing the stories, history and lore of our great city of Vancouver – through Indigenous Eyes.  This tour includes the Aboriginal Indigenous history of Stanley Park and is completed at the renowned Stanley Park Totem Poles where the guided tour will conclude with the stories of the totem poles and the Indigenous peoples who carved them.

What to wear/bring: good walking shoes, an umbrella and rain resistant clothing if raining, sun glasses, hats and sunscreen if sunny. Wear layers with the changing seasons.  Toques and gloves are recommended in winter months.  

Who we are:  All of our guides are indigenous members of the local tribes of this area.  Talaysay Tours, owned by Candace and Larry Campo, Shíshálh (Sechelt) and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) First Nation, offer you an enriched cultural outdoor experience. Our First Nation guides will share with you our ancient and contemporary stories, legends and Aboriginal ways of living as passed down to us through the traditional of oral history.

This Tour Includes:  Your guide, Indigenous Labrador Tea and a Snack when booked in advance.

Seasons:    January 1st to December 31st    2019.  We do not operate in the month of November.  We are closed on December 25th.
