Meeting Location

Our guide will be standing in front of the Stanley Park Information booth. The address is 715 Stanley Park Dr, Vancouver, BC V6G 3E2. She/he will be looking for you and she will wave or introduce themselves if they think they see you. Our location is at the Information Booth, a grey building with green tables to the south, which is right beside the Horsedrawn Tours location. If you are driving, we recommend when you first drive into Stanley Park, go around the round along the seawall. We recommend you arrive 15 minutes prior to find and pay for parking. You can also access our site via public transit or taxi. Here is a direct link for for public transit. If you are arriving by Taxi some taxi's are not permitted in the park and will drop you off on the edge of the park. This can effect your ability to reach our tour on time. These are the taxi's that drive right into the park. Tour Activity:  Spoken Treasures

Tour Description:  Explore iconic Stanley Park and walk the seawall with Indigenous Cultural Ambassadors.  Our trained Ambassador-Guides will walk with you along the seawall, a 1.1 km walk, while sharing the stories, history and lore of our great city of Vancouver – through Indigenous Eyes.  This tour includes the Indigenous history of Stanley Park and is completed at the renowned Stanley Park Totem Poles where the guided tour will conclude with the stories of the totem poles and the Indigenous peoples who carved them.

What to wear/bring: good walking shoes, an umbrella and rain resistant clothing if raining, sun glasses, hats and sunscreen if sunny. Wear layers with the changing seasons.  Toques and gloves are recommended in winter months.  

Who we are:  All of our guides are indigenous members of the local tribes of this area.  Talaysay Tours, owned by Candace and Larry Campo, Shíshálh (Sechelt) and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) First Nation, offer you an enriched cultural outdoor experience. Our First Nation guides will share with you our ancient and contemporary stories, legends and Aboriginal ways of living as passed down to us through the traditional of oral history.

This Tour Includes:  Your guide, Indigenous Labrador Tea and a Snack when booked in advance.

Seasons:    February 1st to October 31st    2020.  We do not operate in the month of November.  We are closed on December 25th but use it as a booking date for Holiday Gift Certificates.
