Tour Description: On Talking Trees we share in great detail how our people utlise
the land for food, medicine and technology. At the Capilano River Hatchery we tell
the rich stories on how the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) people have and continue to live life
on the Xwemélch’stn (Capilano River) and how the Pacific Salmon has sustained us for countless
generations.

What to expect: This route has uneven ground and narrowing of trail in some locations
With some slopes. The forest canopy provides shading.
What to bring: Dress for the weather. Good walking shoes with traction is essential.
Layered clothing and rain resistant clothing if weather is cooler, hats, toques and
or an umbrella. A cap and sunscreen if it is sunny. A water bottle.
We ask our guests to provide yourself enough time to park and locate your guide. We recommend arriving 15 minutes prior to the tour as all of our scheduled tours start promptly.
Talaysay Policies: All tours start on time. If guests are late we will start when you
arrive and honour the original time agreed upon. If you miss the tour there are no reimbursements.
