through Indigenous Eyes

Tour description:  Explore iconic Stanley Park along the seawall with a local Indigenous cultural ambassador.  Local to this region, Indigenous Ambassador Guide will walk with you along the seawall, a 1.1 km walk, while sharing the stories, history and lore of Stanely Park and our great city of Vancouver – through Indigenous Eyes.  This tour includes the rich Indigenous history of Stanley Park and Vancouver and is completed at the renowned Stanley Park Totem Poles where the guided tour will conclude with the rich stories of the totem poles and the Indigenous peoples who carved them.

What to wear/bring: good walking shoes, an umbrella and rain resistant clothing if raining, sun glasses, hats and sunscreen if sunny. Wear layers with the changing seasons.

Who we are:  All of our guides are indigenous members of the local tribes of this area.  Talaysay Tours, owned by Candace and Larry Campo, Shíshálh (Sechelt) and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) First Nation, offer you an enriched cultural outdoor experience. Our First Nation guides will share with you our ancient and contemporary stories, legends and Aboriginal ways of living as passed down to us through the traditional of oral history.

This Tour Includes:  Your guide and Indigenous Tea, with a 15 minute extension from our original program.
