Snowshoe with Talaysay – Cypress Mountain

We invite you to join us on the scenic North Shore at Cypress Mountain for an adventure tour designed for women to commune, snowshoe and enjoy the outdoors and vista views in good company.  No previous experience is required. Your guides are local indigenous and outdoor ambassadors are here to provide you an incredible outdoor experience.  We play at your pace.  There are options to stop and take breaks en route and take photos, rest, share stories. 

What we provide:  Snowshoes, snacks, hot tea, happy and helpful Outdoor Guides

What you need to bring for this tour: Your own high hiking boots or snow boots, ankle high. Dress for the weather. Layers are recommended.  Waterproof and or shell outdoor pants and a jacket suited for water resistance and cooler weather.  Bring a toque and gloves.  Bring gators if you have them.  If you don't have any of these items let us know in advance and we can help out. 

Level of Conditioning is Required:  A Moderate to Intermediate level of conditioning is required for this experience.  We hike 4 to 6 km and hills are in this tour but when you see the view, it will be worth ever step.  Guests with heart conditions are asked to consult a doctor.

Meeting Details: Cypress Mountain – Alpine  We recommend arriving early to find parking.  Your Talaysay guides will meet at Black Mountain Lodge outside in front of the Brown Room.  We must pick up our passes here.  From here we will cross the Cypress Mountain property to access the Cypress Provincial Park via the Baden Powell and Howe Sound Crest Trail up to Bowen Lookout.

Who We Are:  Talaysay Tours, owned by Candace and Larry Campo, Shíshálh (Sechelt) and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) First Nation, offer you an enriched cultural outdoor experience.

Monthly Operation: December to February (subject to snow conditions).  Email us to select your select group date.

Scheduled Meet Up Time: 10:00 am start (Meet Up Location). 

Scheduled End Time: 1:00 pm

Duration:  2.5 to 3 hrs   Distance of Snowshoe Tour    (7km to 9 km)

Rate:    $150.00 pp plus gst.  We require a minimum of 4 people to do this tour. 

Ask about our Group Rates:  

10 + Guests receive 10% discount.  15 + Guests Receive 15% and 20+ Guests receive 20% Discounts.

To Qualify as a Private Group:  6 to 10 ppl (small group)

Medical Conditions:  For your safety we ask you to inform us of any medical conditions, including heart conditions.

Client Cancellation Policy: For our Snowshoe Tours 72 hours is required to cancel or more and we will reimburse less 20% for admin fees.  Group Cancellation: 10 days or more are required; we will reimburse less 20% administration fee. For your safety, the Company reserves the right to cancel due to weather conditions.  We do snowshoe in the rain and will cancel if there are high avalanche warnings and or high winds.
