We operate on various locations: Vancouver and North Vancouver: Stanley Park Lynn Valley - Whyte Lake Capilano River Park Squamish: Alice Lake The Estuary Sunshine Coast: Langdale Falls Roberts Creek Smugglers Cove Skookumchuk This is the location for Stanley Park: We have two types of tours in Stanley Park and two meeting locations.  Your Indigenous Forest Walk Meeting Location is: Address: Stanley Park Loop, Vancouver, BC V6G 3E2, Canada. This location is accessed via Pipelane Road.  It is the Bus Loop closest to the Stanley Park Mini Train. Our guide will be ready 15 minutes prior to the tour start waiting at the Gazebo right in the bus loop.   Lynn Valley Parking at Lynn Headwaters Regional Park is limited during the summer. If possible, please carpool or take transit to the park. Whyte Lake: (Note: Uphill and requires moderate conditioning) West Vancouver, BC V0N 1G0

Indigenous Forest Walk Tour:  Welcome to our Indigenous Forest Walk.  This is a custom-designed private tour for your team to enjoy nature and learn about Indigenous culture and our relationship to the land.  All of our guides, local Indigenous ambassadors,  share our connection to the land and how we utilize the forest for food, medicine and technology.  Indigenous peoples' of this region and throughout the Northwest Coast have used over a 130 plants and trees for food and medicine.  On this walking tour through the forest we share our stories, life history and Indigenous science while leaving space for discussion, questions and photos.  This is a tour to remember and you will never look at the forest the same way again.  This tour is an extended, more comprehensive version of our Signature Talking Trees Tour.  First Nations Wellness practices are included.  

Tour Description:  How our Sḵwx̱wú7mesh and Salish Peoples' utilize the forest for food medicine and technology.  On this leisurely extended walking tour along the Stanley Park trails (other sites are an option), your guide-ambassador, an Indigenous descendent of our ancestors who have lived here for generations, will include the rich history and stories of  the land. 

Who we are:  We are members of the Shíshálh (Sechelt) and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) communities and we would be honoured to an share Indigenous Forest Walk with you.  Talaysay Tours, owned by Candace and Larry Campo, Shíshálh (Sechelt) and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) First Nation, offer you an enriched cultural outdoor experience.  

What to wear/bring: good walking shoes and or hiking boots, an umbrella if raining.  We encourage guests to wear layers with the changing seasons. Rain resistent clothing and in the cooler months, a hat and or gloves and caps, sunglasses and sun screen in the warmer season.  A pack pack with your water bottle, snacks and extra pieces of clothing is recommended.  

Tour A start time:  This tour is customized with you but we set a time in the calendar for seamless booking.

Dates:  tbd   (The Dates on the Calendar are only random dates selected for purchasing.  On all of our private tours, we plan a date and time together in advance to best suit your schedule).  For Private Indgienous Forest Walks we require 6 or more guests.  For Talking Trees Tours we require a minimum of 10 people.  

It is important to us to converse with all of the guests to ensure they enjoy their time with us.  We ask for the names of all guests in advance.  

Min/Max # of participants: Min: 6    Max: 10 per guide.  With 10 or more guests, we assign two guides and do two groups

Rate per person:  $95.00  

Safety Policy:  How we are going to stay safe together at a distance.  We invite all guests to wear masks and recommend our guests to use hand sanitizer before and after the tour.   If you have colds symptoms,  including fever please let us know and we will reschedule your tour at a later date when you are feeling better.
