Tour Description:  Spoken Treasures– A History of Vancouver & Stanley Park  through Indigenous Eyes

Tour description:  Explore iconic Stanley Park along the seawall with a local Indigenous cultural ambassador.  A local to this region, a Indigenous Ambassador Guide will walk with you along the seawall, a 1.1 km walk, while sharing the rich stories, history and lore of Stanley Park and our great city of Vancouver – through Indigenous Eyes.  This tour includes the rich oral Indigenous history of Stanley Park and Vancouver and is completed at the renowned Stanley Park Totem Poles where the guided tour will conclude with the rich stories of the totem poles and the Indigenous peoples who carved them.

What to bring:  sun glasses, hats and sunscreen if sunny, rain resistant clothing if raining and layered clothing if windy. 

Who we are:  All of our guides are indigenous members of the local tribes of this area.  Talaysay Tours, owned by Candace and Larry Campo, Shíshálh (Sechelt) and Swx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) First Nation, offer you an enriched cultural outdoor experience. We are a family and community and our guides will share with you our ancient and contemporary stories, legends and Aboriginal ways of living as passed down to us through the traditional of oral history.

Max/Min number of participants: 4 to 10 participants per guide (2021 Policy Standards must be met during the management of the Covid).
