Talaysay’s Talking Trees – Porpoise Bay Provincial Park – Walking Tour

Tour Description: Each plant, each tree has its own special story. Explore Sechelt's iconic Porpoise Bay with a local Indigenous guide - cultural ambassador who will highlight how the local trees and plants of the Pacific Northwest are harvested by our people for food, medicine and technology. Our guides, who are members of the local Indigenous communities and the surrounding region, will share with you the rich cultural stories and our ecological practices, our history, stories, legends and Indigenous ways of living.

Options for all fitness levels.  Talking Trees Walking Tour is approximately 1.2 km and we walk at a leisurely pace with frequent stops to explore and discuss.

What to wear/bring: good walking shoes.  Wear layers with the changing seasons.  Sunglasses, sunscreen and hats in the warm weather are recommended.  Umbrellas if raining.

Who we are: Talaysay Tours, owned by Candace and Larry Campo, Shíshálh (Sechelt) and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) First Nation, offer you an enriched cultural outdoor experience.
