My name is Candace and I was born and raised in Sechelt on the Sunshine Coast.

I would like to invite our community members to join me in a Talking Trees Tour as I

share how our people utlize the forest for food, medicine and technology and share stories of the Shíshálh (Sechelt) and Sḵwxw̱ ú7mesh (Squamish) Communities.  Our two Peoples lived as sister tribes here in the lower mainland known today as the Sunshine Coast and more specifically in xwes-am and s-telkaya, the meeting place, and the present day community of Roberts Creek.

Candace currently lives in West Vancouver in the village of xwemelch'stn with her husband and children.

This tour includes cultural interpretation of the forest and beach.

What to bring: Please wear good walking shoes and dress for the coastal weather.  We are respectfully inviting guests to wear masks.

Rate:   $65.00 pp.

How to book.  Please contact us in advance so we can work with you to select a perfect day and time that will work with both of us.  This is a custom group tour and we require 6 or more guests for this tour.

We are an indigenous company that works and lives in the homelands and territories of xwməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) , and the Shíshálh (Sechelt) Nations
