Gibsons' Landing Marina - Keats Island
Tour Activity: Sail the Salish Sea with a Talaysay guide- cultural ambassador. As we leave the tranquil Gibson’s harbor and enter into South Howe Sound we will set sail to explore the Salish Sea and listen to the stories of both ancient and contemporary times while we circumnavigate the Island of Keats and pass by Hermit Island to return along Bowen Island on Collingwood Channel. Once out in the ocean, we will be open to the full views of Howe Sound with peaks from Elphinstone to Mt. Garibaldi—not to mention panoramas from Texada Island to the Gulf Islands, Saturna and beyond. This tour is a dream tour. We cannot even be modest about it. Your guide will share the rich stories and history of our people, the early explorers, the early life of Sunshine Coast and the sacredSalish Sea. We will enjoy a delicious West Coast lunch with Indigenous, share a song and our ancient stories. We invite you to join us.
