Tour Title: Talking Trees Hike - Alice Lake, Squamish
Tour Description: This is an indepth exploration and study of how our people utilize the forest for food, medicine and technology. Your experienced guide will explore our harvest methods, cultural and sustainable protocols and highlight the immense and diverse flora, their indigenous uses, in our forests. This tour also covers more terrain and walking. Moderate conditioning is recommended.

Tour description: Each plant, each tree has its own special story. Explore Alice Lake’s family Park with a local Indigenous guide and cultural ambassador. Along the way, your guide will point out local plants that were harvested by Skwxu7mesh Uxwumixw First Nations people for food, technology and medicine.
What to wear/bring: good walking shoes, an umbrella, and wear layers with the changing seasons. This tour has some hills and uneven ground.

Tour B start time: 1:00 pm Tour B end time: 4:00 pm Duration: 3.0 hrs
Rates: Adults: $120 pp. Child: 12-18 $96 pp We require a minimum of two people to do this tour.
Public Parking available. Included in this tour is a light nutritious lunch: salmon, begals, cream cheese, vegetables, hummus, fruit and indigneous tea.
This tour is recommended for adults and youth 12+

Minimum: 4 ppl Max: 12 ppl (with 10 or more guests we will have two guides to meet the safety standards for Covid management).

Safety Practices: We invite guests, if you feel more safe, to wear a mask. We follow the 2 meter distance safety practice and ask for your support in maintaining this safety guideline. We strongly encourage guests to use hand sanitizer before and after all tours. At present we are not shaking hands and will happily share how we say thank you the Coast Salish way with the hand gesture.
If you have any allergies or medical conditions you think we should know, please give us a call or send us an email. If you are sick or have a fever, we ask you to stay home and we will reschedule you within our scheduled operational season.
